Health Centers Week Proclaimed in Pike County

(Honesdale, August 7, 2026) … August 2nd to August 8th is National Health Centers Week! Representatives of Wayne Memorial Community Health Centers (WMCHC) were presented with a proclamation from the Pike County Commissioners in honor of the national observance. The proclamation praised community health centers’ ability to “overcome barriers to healthcare access, including geography, income and insurance status.”
WMCHC is a federally qualified health center encompassing over 20 sites offering primary care, women’s health, pediatrics, behavioral health, walk-in care, dental and podiatry services as well as maintaining a rural-track Family Medicine Residency Program. For more information, visit www.wmchc.net.
