New Provider Coming to Northern Wayne Family Health Center - Meet and Greet October 12

Honesdale, PA (October 2, 2026) — Wayne Memorial Community Health Centers (WMCHC) is pleased to announce that Advanced Practice Provider Tricia Walsh, PA-C, MS, will begin seeing patients at its Northern Wayne Family Health Center in Lake Como by mid- October.

Walsh comes to WMCHC with eight years of experience as a Physician Assistant caring for pediatric and adult patients within both family medicine and urgent care settings in New Jersey. While at Northern Wayne, she will see patients aged six-months to geriatric.

Walsh, who was born in Philadelphia and grew up in Bucks County, decided to move to Lake Como with her husband full-time in 2024 after purchasing property in 2021. She says offering primary care in a rural setting has always been her goal and no better place than Wayne County to make her dream a reality.

“It’s my privilege to live in the community where I’ll be working and we love living in this area. Every time I passed the Northern Wayne Family Health Center I would think, ‘It would be great if I could work there,’” she stated.

Walsh earned a Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Philadelphia University and a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Science and Technology from Thomas Edison State University in Trenton, New Jersey. She also has an Associate Degree in medical laboratory technology from Harcum College, Bryn Mawr, PA.

“By welcoming Tricia to the practice, we are continuing our commitment to providing accessible, high-quality healthcare close to home for families who reside in Northern Wayne County and surrounding areas,” stated, Wynter Newman, chief administrative officer, WMCHC. Newman is particularly mindful of the needs in Northern Wayne, as she also resides there.

WMCHC is hosting a Meet and Greet for Tricia at the practice’s 412 Lake Como Road location on Monday, October 12th from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm. All patients of Northern Wayne Family Health Center and community members are invited. Refreshments will be provided by Alice’s Kitchen. WMCHC staff will be on hand to offer technical support with the patient portal and attendees will be eligible to enter a free raffle for a $100 gas card. No RSVP is required to attend the event.

WMCHC is a Federally Qualified Health Center accepting Medicare, PA Medical Assistance, as well as most commercial insurance and managed care plans. A sliding fee scale is also offered to those who qualify.
