About the Provider

As a consulting psychiatrist for the Integrated Behavioral Health team of Wayne Memorial Community Health Centers, Adharsh Sahadevan, MD, provides expert advice, supervision, diagnostic assessments and short-term treatment by working closely with a patient’s primary care provider. He sees patients 18 years old and above.

Dr. Sahadevan is a Board-certified Geriatric Psychiatrist. Patients or family members may call directly to make an appointment. A referral from a Primary Care Provider is not required. Because older adults face unique challenges with her mental health, Dr. Sahadevan’s practice focuses on the following:

• Diagnosing and Treating the “3 Ds”: telling apart and managing depression, dementia, and delirium, which often overlap in older age.
• Managing Complex Medications: Adjust psychotropic drug types and dosages safely, keeping in mind how aging bodies process medications and how multiple prescriptions interact.
• Addressing Late-Life Conditions: Treat anxiety, late-onset psychosis, sleep disorders, grief, and substance misuse|
• Coordinating Care: Work closely with primary care doctors, neurologists, and family members to build complete care plans.

Dr. Sahadevan joined Wayne Memorial Community Health Centers in 2024.
