About the Provider
Renata Plonska-Brown, LCSW, is an embedded behavioral health therapist and a member of the Integrated Behavioral Health team of Wayne Memorial Community Health Centers. She collaborates with primary care providers in offering whole person care by supporting patient’s mental health and the impact their emotional wellbeing has on their physical health.
Renata offers short-term, goal-oriented counseling for individuals across the lifespan—from pediatric through geriatric populations.
Renata came to WMCHC with nearly 15 years’ experience as a clinical social worker. Her extensive experience spans across hospital, community, outpatient mental health and private-practice psychotherapy settings. She specializes in trauma, anxiety, mood disorders, personality disorders, and relationship conflict. She is skilled in crisis intervention and evidence-based treatment such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness approaches.
