Expands Pediatric Walk-In Hours and Appoints Dedicated Provider

Honesdale, PA (July 31, 2026) — Wayne Memorial Community Health Centers (WMCHC) has expanded access for pediatric walk-in healthcare through extended hours, renovated space and the appointment of a dedicated walk-in provider at its Sterling Pediatric Center, located at 62 Industrial Park Road in Lake Ariel, PA.
Beginning August 1, Board Certified Pediatrician Debra Georgetti, MD, will serve as the Medical Director for the site, bringing over 30 years of experience caring for local families. The enhanced service allows children from birth through age 18 to receive prompt treatment for minor illnesses and injuries without an appointment.
To better meet the needs of busy families, Pediatric Walk-In Care will be available:
- Sunday: 10 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Monday through Thursday: 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Conditions seen at walk-in include ear infections, sore throats, fever, coughs, colds, rashes, minor cuts and burns, sprains and other non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries. Pediatric Walk-In Care is intended for illnesses and injuries that require prompt attention but are not medical emergencies. If a child is experiencing a life-threatening emergency, parents should call 911 or visit the nearest emergency department.
“Pediatric Walk-In Care at Sterling offers families greater access to care when a child’s primary care provider may be unavailable or fully booked,” said Teresa Lacey, RN, BSN, CEO, WMCHC. “As a whole, WMCHC’s pediatric services are available seven-days a week with convenient hours. Our Honesdale site – in addition to weekdays – sees scheduled patients on Saturdays between 8 am and 12 Noon while our Lords Valley and Waymart locations hold office hours weekdays sometimes as late as 6 pm.”
